Quick Beer Review: Evil Twin’s Yang

I was raiding my beer fridge for something to drink – as one does – and decided it’d be smart to see if there were any IPAs that I should drink before the hop character ages out of them. I found a bottle of Evil Twin’s Yang, one-half of their Black & Tan*, Yin & Yang. Yang pours a burnt orange with small off-white head. Strong malty notes on the nose (probably due to age). It has an interesting and tasty spicy character along with plenty of hop bitterness (more than the 65 IBUs implies). Nice mouthfeel, right around where I like for an IPA. Finishes dry. 4 out of 5.
